Are You in Compliance with the New Florida Building Code?
Wednesday, May 30, 2012
The new 2010 Florida Building Code went into effect across the state on March 15, 2012. The 2010 Florida Building Code has increased the design wind speeds for several coastal counties including Miami’s Dade County as well as increasing the design wind speed for structures in risk category III, inland exposure B.
Structures including HVAC unit pads or supports will now be required to meet the new wind design speed requirements set by the 2010 Florida Building Code. Ductmate’s Hurricane Air Brace is designed and tested to some of the most stringent codes in the country, including those found in the new Florida Codes.
